CASE STUDY:
Columbia Community Mental Health

Project Summary

Columbia Community Mental Health has been a cornerstone of behavioral health services in Columbia County, Oregon since 1975. They approached us seeking a comprehensive digital transformation to better serve their community. The project encompassed two essential components: developing a modern, secure website platform and establishing a strong social media presence to expand their community reach.

Our Approach

We approached CCMH's digital needs by building a custom WordPress website from the ground up, moving away from their previous Divi builder setup to create a more robust solution. Using Bootstrap 5, Sass, and JavaScript, we developed a platform that prioritizes both speed and functionality. The new framework enables CCMH staff to easily update content, manage staff directories, and modify program pages while maintaining fast responsiveness across all devices. We incorporated enhanced security measures to protect sensitive information transmission and added multilingual capabilities to serve their diverse community better. To complement the new website, we implemented a comprehensive social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn platforms. Our team began with a thorough social media audit and competitor analysis to understand the landscape. This research informed our content strategy, which focused on meaningful community engagement through various content formats, including Reels and Stories. We integrated website analytics tracking to measure performance and adjust our approach based on real data.

The Results

The new website infrastructure has transformed CCMH's digital operations. By implementing the right tools at the right time, we significantly reduced their maintenance overhead costs while expanding their online reach. The staff now enjoys a streamlined content management system that makes updates simple and efficient. The enhanced security measures ensure compliance with privacy regulations, while the multilingual support helps CCMH connect with more community members than ever before. Our 54-day trial period demonstrated the power of strategic social media management. Website traffic saw a healthy 7% increase, with visitors spending nearly two minutes per visit engaging with content. The integration between social media and the website proved particularly successful, with social media referrals increasing by nearly 90%. Across platforms, engagement metrics showed remarkable growth: Facebook saw engagement increase by over 150%, Instagram's reach expanded more than sevenfold, and LinkedIn visibility grew exponentially, with post impressions increasing by over 4,000%.
